Home Remedies for Gum Disease

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

Gum disease is fairly widespread, and affects approximate a third of adults. Symptoms of gum disease include bleeding, pain, receding/infected gums, toothache, and even bad breath. It usually begins as only a slight inconvenience, but may soon spread to all areas of the gums, teeth, and mouth.

So what can we do about this and handle dental care in the comfort of our own homes? Here are a few remedies that you can try out.

Warm salty water – this is good for killing bacteria, cleaning the mouth in general, and fighting off infections.

Vitamin C – drinking orange juice or getting Vitamin C in other forms are good in stopping bleeding gums.

Massage your gums – this will help to develop stronger gum muscles.

Claims About Asbestos

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

There is without a doubt that the topic of asbestos is a controversial one. Asbestos is both useful, yet also toxic and can cause mesothelioma. In the early 1990s, many people believed that asbestos was the easiest and also least expensive material for construction. Only decades later did construction workers show signs of lung disease, which caused scientists and doctors to take a closer look at asbestos’ properties.

The results of the studies conducted have forced local governments to change their health bills such that they were tougher against asbestos claims, and to protect people who became sick after breathing in asbestos fibers. These changes to the law have empowered victims to file suits against companies that have used asbestos in their businesses.
